Hi all,                 This weekend Myself and Pandian met in my home and discussed about the plans that we can go ahead. Based on our discussions we have come up with the following plan: 

                There is already a slum in Saidapet which we worked with before two years and discontinued because of lack of volunteers.                 Instead of saying them that we want to start an educational project with them directly we can organize some event in the slum, get to know the people there and then we can come up with the plan there. Many of our friends who want to spend some amount of their salary in sponsoring education for a child. We can request our friends if they are interested to do so. On the other side, we can conduct some talent search within the slum (what kind of search is to be discussed) and choose the best kids in the slum and start sponsoring them. 

                So the parents will be interested as they will get funds for the education of kids. The person who is sponsoring also will be happy since they know that they are giving for a deserving kid. Later as and when we get sponsors for education we will make sure other kids are also reached out. 

                The sponsoring of education will be done for the next academic year and meanwhile we can motivate the kids to study well for this year. And we can build a good rapport with the people in slum too. After we get on to a comfortable level, we will start teaching some classes for the kids in weekends and we will see how things are progressing and decide accordingly. Let me know (divya.senthu@gmail.com) if you are interested.
