How do I join Pankhudi and How do I contribute towards it?

I am very much interested in working for this effort. I went through this website but I was not able to find a way on how to contribute something towards this organization. Can someone tell me what to do? My email address is karthik.kirubakaran@gmail.com Please contact me so that I can contribute something.

Donations from Japan

I just confirmed from the families here that sending the goods
by 13th May is bit tight for them (Most of them are out due to 5 days
vacations here). Moreover, I am getting a fairly good response and
they have suggested me to make it big by putting posters in the
buildings for donations of toys, clothes, books from all families
(including non-Indians too). They suggested me deadline as 20th May (we have holi celebrations here on 13th May, which would make the words spread faster).

Now, I need the team help in designing a nice poster for donation. I
have seen the poster for bicycle donation which looked amazingly
great. Only change would be the context, as the group of people being addressed here are different (families living outside India). If we can get a help on this and the poster can be designed by tomorrow, it would be of great help.

Adoption assignment

Good news !! We finally have the first adoption assignment. One of my friend requested me with the following mail, “I have a friend in the US who needs help with adopting a girl child from India.  Do you have any contact person in India, particularly Delhi who can share details with her.”

Now, its time for us to step out and help people willing to adopt. Here is scheme of work that Delhi team (or any other team) can do.

  • We will need to contact the good lady willing to adopt a girl child and brief her with  the adoption policies and requirement.
  • We will need to connect her with the adoption agencies to find out the possibilities of adoption and the details of paper work.

What says team?

Building up children’s skills for their career

I was thinking of the ways to make the children financially strong when they grow up. How can we as an organization help the children on a mass scale. Suddenly “developing skills” came to my mind. I ended up in thinking of kids delighting skills like “painting”, “designing”, “music & cultural activities” and “sports”. Obviously the school education goes parallel. On the first thought, these may look totally wierd but I have a reason to believe in them specially for the kids living in orphange homes. These fun skills would be loved by kids deprived of parents and they would be much more dedicated towards them. These would amuse them and would change their way of life. I am a firm believer that it just needs dedication to deliver and I believe in these children through the small but great information given by the team so far. All we need is to support these children, boost up their moral and make them believe that they can achieve, whatever they want and they would certainly show up the enthusiasm. Afterall, they are equally capable of anyother kids in the society and the skills I have mentioned are not impracticle to develop.
